Garbanzo beans (also known as chickpeas) Are a great addition to your diet They are high in protein and you can find them year-round. Garbanzo beans buttery texture make it a great candidate for dips. Chickpeas are very versatile they can be spiced and flavour in a variety of ways.

Chickpeas and bell peppers

Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas 19oz
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-2 tbs olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup of chicken or (vegetable stock for vegetarians)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut peppers and onion into small squares. In a medium sauce pain heat up olive oil
- over medium heat, add onions and peppers cook for 2-3 minutes, add minced garlic and keep cooking for another 3-5 minutes add chickpeas and remaining ingredients and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Plate and Enjoy!!!
